Stephanie Leibowitz

Just discovered the Agent Lover blog(click through for link.)  Her style icons are my style icons, for the record.  In an homage I dressed like half of this fab outfit worn by Julie Brown today; turquoise tights, but sadly do not have a dress flashy enough to match. Check it out, I’m obsessed.  Adding this to my list of obsessions underneath Sailor and Lula.  When it gets a little warmer (and I stop hibernating a little bit) I will bang out some sick pics to match this inspiration.

Some background; I date this cartoonist that does a comic called Big Title, which is about professional wrestling.  His name is Alec Lewellyn and he just finished the third issue and in addition to these he also does these illustrations of his preferred wrestlers, my favorites among them being Cody Rhodes and Scott Steiner.  If you keep up with WWE, you’ll know that this past week, Brotus Clay officially made his debut on RAW and SMACKDOWN, and that he was given a complete character change, going from this tattooed evil menace heel to a run-dmc lookalike “funkasaurus” with two red-lace covered dancers as his mascots.  Before the show, Alec posted an illustration of the old Brotus Clay; then we watched RAW and he made a new one.  You can see them here;

 The reason I’m sharing is is because LAST NIGHT on RAW, someone, some intelligent fan of superb taste with excellent seats, made a poster of his illustrations with the caption, “Somebody Call My Mama”(which is his theme song, that line over and over again.)
HOW COOL IS THAT! Now we wait for the offers to pour in, obviously.
Side note: I feel like most people on tumblr aren’t into professional wrestling and probably won’t be into this but it’s a real victory and I’m super proud.

found via Got a Girl Crush, this video of Klara Harden’s Icelandic voyage is better than anything I’ve seen for a very long time…sorry, Wild At Heart.  This is some real motivational shit.  Note to self: MAKE IT HAPPEN 2012!
